I can’t say if I earned well or not but I have earned better. When you automate the process people buy AD on your blog. Advertisers contact me time to time.
These type of confusions I had as well but once I got money from my first 2-3 advertising I invested it on OIO and then I was able to get back more in few days. If you have money then buy it. You may not need it now but in future definitely.
Paying for a Advertising plugin is not a thing I will really go for! Even many websites do this work for free, but the only thing is that you need to pay them some part of your monthly income to them.

Yes the are various free options. If you feel like trying them try them first. Until you have started getting some advertisers, you do not even need to think about OIO.
