Did you buy any latest gadget? Did you buy an iPad? Did you buy an home security system? The answer to the first two questions might be affirmative but I am not quite sure about the answer to the last one. We all invest heavily on all types of insurance but do we even care to spend on systems which could not only save us alot of money but also give us peace of mind. The economy is in a mess (or so it seems) and people have been losing their jobs. All this has lead to increase in crime, particularly home burglary making home security systems not only essential but a must have for all households. It is always advisable to become proactive rather than reactive. Thus investing in adt security becomes important.

So what is www.adt.com? And what does it do? ADT offers home alarm and monitored security system for your house. The system is in accordance with what you need which is determined by an expert. This not only helps in you getting peaceful sleep at night but also keeps the thief at bay. The ADT monitoring system not only helps you to keep a track of what is happening around your house but also helps in alerting the locals as well as the police if some one tries to break in. Remember the old saying prevention is better than cure.

This is the age of convenience. And the biggest contributor towards this is the internet. With practically everything available online, old are the times when we had to look around looking for products to buy. Consumers as well as the retailers have woken up to the power of the internet and are tapping its potential like never before. Forming a part of this revolution are the online shopping opportunities . With the online presence of almost all big players the once considered to be a big job of shopping is now no more a chore.

The internet provides you the option of looking through various websites to search the products of your choice and then subsequently allowing you to buy the same online! The entire process gets completed in a jiffy!Various websites use their own payment options but in totality there are provided several options to allow you to get done with your shopping easily . There are all kinds of products that you can buy online. From electronics to household products ; from health related products to books. Anything and everything is now conveniently placed on the internet. The advantage of buying items like electronics and health products online is the fact that now you have the convenience of looking through several websites to compare products and then after you are satisfied with the product and the price you can then go ahead and buy the same.

I am so happy and excited. Finally got a Broadband Connection at home. Until now I have been doing Internet through Dial-Up when I was at home. At college it is LAN, so I do not have to worry about bandwidth etc. But at home it was a different case until now.

So basically I am very happy and it is not only because I got Broadband but because I am online after 3-4 days. Didn’t the title ringed a bell in your mind. Well I was without Internet for 3-4 days and no Internet means no Blogging. But no Internet is not so Bad. Thought it made me worried. I was worried what I will do and what I need to do. I was thinking how many days I will be without Internet. I had the option to go to a Internet Cafe but I do not feel it safe blogging there.

Anyways lets cut the crap out and let me tell you why being without Internet was not so Bad.

I was able to do some future planning and improved my Time Management strategies.

Read two e-books on Twitter. It was really helpful and my followers increasing. I learned little about branding. I may tell about them in future.

Started reading a nice e-book on which will help me to get more Traffic. I will soon be putting a review on it.

Watched some Anime Series and 5-6 Movies. It has been so long since I watched any movies(about 10-12 days actually).

I could spend some quality time with my parents and brother. I cooked some food and devised new recipe.

Got good rest. My Mid-Sems got over just few days ago.

It was fun in many ways.

Some of the things I did will be very helpful to me in future. The rest I took will keep me healthy and the time I spent with my parents and brother will be memorable. The plans I made and the e-books I read will be helping me too.

After all Internet is not everything. DO NOT get addicted (I am very much addicted to it myself). What do you do when you do not have Internet or you are Free and not blogging or doing any of your regular works.

Hmm…..! John Chow. Who is that? Don’t give me that crappy question. Almost everyone on Internet knows him well. At least most of the bloggers know him. Today he is regarded as one of the top and successful blogger out there. Anyways he need no introduction.

The topic here I am going to discuss is about John Chow’s recent Twitter Stunt and why I unfollowed him. Both of them are somehow related though. I believe many of you have already read his Twitter Stunt. He unfollowed 55,000 followers in one day. When he wrote the tweet about this incident i.e. unfollowing 55,000 people, I was online on Twitter and my first reaction was WTF! (sorry for bad language). What is John thinking? How can he do this? What is the reason behind this?

I believe many of you were in that unfollowed list. Well I was on that list. I do not regret being unfollowed by him. It does not matter. I am not a top gun whom he would follow. But this stunt by John really pissed me off.

Why am I pissed?

Here are the reasons

I am pissed not because I lost a follower(useless follower anyways) but because it felt like he stabbed in my back. I am sorry if it seems a little too execrated to some of you but when someone promise to follow you back when you follow him/her, he/she need to keep the promise. OK forget that maybe I expected too much.

But there is another reason too. I didn’t like the way John did this. He unfollowed 55,000 people in one day. That is too harsh. Isn’t it? If he wanted to unfollow he could have done it slowly. I know unfollowing 55,000 followers manually is not easy. He used some script and unfollowed all except a few (100) people. Maybe I can forgive him for this too.

Wait! here is the strongest reason. If you have read his post you will know that the reason he unfollowed so many because he couldn’t really follow them. Actually no one can. He is already using Tweet Deck and Twitterfon which help anyone to organize twitter users into groups. So he should have no problem dealing with the matter of really following people he wants to. But he just blamed it on the softwares saying they are buggy and stuffs. He said he is using iPhone to do tweeting and it crashes due to heavy load of 55,000 followers. Well why isn’t he using his laptop, I think he has two of them. It is not like he is always on move that he need a iPhone to do tweeting. John gave his users some lame excuses. I hate it when people (no matter who) give lame excuses. I would surely like to hear directly from him what he think about my views.

So that’s it. Nope.

Below are few more reasons which made me unfollow John Chow (these reasons have nothing to do with his Twitter Stunt).

It was useless for me to follow him as I was subscribed to his feeds and regularly visited his blog. I didn’t need to read his tweets.

I had replied to him and DM him many times on twitter but never got any reply. Well this is a lame excuse from my side but I at least wanted a reply from him.

I never found/got any quality tweet (anything of my use) from him. What is the use of following him then?

Now here is something for you all to think and answer.

What do you think about what John Chow did? Are you following him? What do you think about my views?

Before I close my post I have a advice or tip for John.

First of all John, I apologize if you feels bad but I didn’t like what you did. It was so unprofessional. I have a solution to your problem. First think of your aim – “Your aim was to follow people whom you really want to follow”. So the best and easiest solution to this is to make one more Twitter Account for personal use only. Follow the few people you want to and no need to ask people to follow you. You can use you iPhone too with no crashes. You can reply to them using this new account or from your old account (may be copy-pasting you tweet – it is up to you).

Note: I have though a lot before writing this article. So please apprecite it and give only useful comments. Only constructive critism please.
