Confidence is the key to Better Blogging

Confidence hmm..! Sounds quite normal and easy, isn’t it? Knock! Knock! You are wrong. Confidence is as rare as Common Sense. You see common sense is quite uncommon.

Before you learn how to show the confidence in blogging (I mean the proper way), you ought to know what is really confidence. Most of you here might be thinking confidence is something simple. Well if it comes naturally to you then it might be something simple but I say you are one of the rarest creatures here. For us common people confidence is complex. People easily cross the fine line of confidence and reach the level which houses Ego. If you do not reach Ego then you will reach level of annoyance. It is little difficult to maintain the correct level of confidence.

Blog with Confidence

Let’s discuss this with some example. Let’s talk how confidence can convert to Ego. Think that you have found (discovered) something new – like I found out about Page Ranks of Twitter Profiles or assume that you have created some product or e-book. You write a post about it and boost more then necessary. Whenever there is some negative comment (remember the comment is right) you always defend saying you are correct and not accepting your fault. This may seem rare to many of you but I have seen some blogger actually doing it. Sometimes little egoistic posts are good for your blog but too much of this is bad. It will take the reader away from you. These types of posts if posted more often starts radiating wrong or negative aura about you and your blog. It gives the message that you are egoistic and do not care about people. People will stop following you.

Now how can confidence be annoyance? Let’s assume that you found out some money making product which actually worked for you. You write a post about it underlining all good points but you also insert few lines repeatedly in every paragraph. It may be “This product is really nice” or something else. This thing is really annoying. If I am correct you might be thinking how someone can commit this mistake. I have a simple answer to it; this mistake happens quite often and happens involuntarily. You do not want to commit this mistake but it happens by itself. It’s because you become overconfident about things. I had committed these types of mistakes before. People get annoyed with this and they start giving negative comments which may provoke other reader not to follow you.

I guess the above examples could correctly explain what I wanted to say. Now lets move to the section where I point out how to show your confidence while bloggging. From my past experience I have pointed out the following points which I believe will show your confidence.

The Dos

  1. Do act as a professional. If you do not know about something then tell them you have no idea about it but remember to learn it when you get time.
  2. Do help you reader and let them help you. Helping will increase you confidence and your relation with your readers.
  3. Do proofread you post before posting. Read a dictionary and try to use some powerful words in your post.
  4. Do give your posts your personal touch. Make you readers love it. It increases confidence.

The Don’ts

  1. Do not take things too personal. It’s sometime really annoying for readers.
  2. Do not try to deceive your readers by doing so you will end up pissing your readers.
  3. Do not write article which are out of your niche. People see this as a loss in confidence and quickly criticize you and worse may leave you forever.
  4. Do not boost beyond limit. People will think you are egoistic.
  5. Do not repeat a line (exact line) in your post.
  6. Do not ask people for favours which may look as if you are taking advantage of them.

At last the final question, what is the value of confidence in blogging? Its quite simple. When you blog with confidence, people see your confidence, they believe in you. They see your potential and thus will follow you. I guess you can now predict what all profits you get from it. What do you think about confidence as a key in blogging? Do you have any point you might like to share, you are more than welcome. If you have some different Ideas or example then please share.

I’ve gained so much confidence since I’ve started blogging. If nothing else, just stepping out by faith into the world of Internet Marketing and seeing it DOES work has given me great confidence.

That along with running a personal blog and just putting myself “out there” for the world to see, has surely changed me!

Nice post!

Confidence is the Key!! Also your ability to convey your thoughts in a proper manner matters.
Connecting with the minds of your viewers helps you a lot! When they comment and praise you, it gives you a lot of courage to do something very new!!
