Portable Document Format – PDF is a file format created by Adobe Systems in 1993 for document exchange. In its early stages it was not well accepted or popular. But since 5-6 years it has become a norm on Internet. It is smaller in size in comparison to its word or .doc format. It can contain text, pictures, captions, audio descriptions, XML codes etc. You buy a e-book – its a PDF. You read a free report – a PDF again. And now a days even companies are asking people to send resume in PDF. In my college PDF files are put on our Internal Notice Board to provide us with information regarding all events.
Now that PDF is such a norm and every person is using it. People are reading PDF more than they use any other text editors. Take me for example I have so far read 5 PDF files in last 12 hours and used notepad only once. People want to do little more than just reading PDF files. They may want to protect it with passwords or join two or more files or unlock it.
To accomplish the above jobs I have found some Free Online PDF tools. These tools have a small restriction. They allow a maximum file size or total upload of 10 MB only. Most PDF files you will be using in your daily life will have size less than 10 MB, so you can use these tools without any problem.
Join 2 or more PDF files. You can merge up to 5 files maximum. Just upload the files and click join. The motto is one PDF is better than two.
Sometime you do not want people to read your PDF. You want the content inside to be secure. The best solution is to password protect it. You just upload you file. Put in and password and select low encryption strength to make the PDF compatible with older readers or use high encryption length for more security.
PDF files can have restrictions that prevent you from for example copying text from them or editing, printing or merging them. PDF Unlock! unlocks PDF files and removes these restrictions.
PDF Unlock! does not, however, recover lost passwords or remove a password protection from a PDF file. A PDF file can also be subject to encryption by a third party, such as DRM. PDF Unlock! does not remove such.
I hope you find these tools useful. Do you already use any PDF tools? If you do then share your experience with it. If you need or want any specific type of tool ask me, I will find it.

Huh? I’ve a similar post saved in my draft. Few months back I wrote about PDF Unlock website, since then my post is in draft. I thought of publishing it soon. Guess what, I have to add some more tools to it. Lol. Dont do it next time, otherwise I kill you. Lol
Why not just use an Adobe Reader?
They are reliable and they are also free for a few usage. you can install it again to get a few more usage.

Does Adobe Reader allow you to merge to PDF. I suppose not. It is a Reader only. If some restriction is put on your PDF file then Adobe Reader cannot unlock the restricted feature. You cannot password protect a PDF using Adobe Reader. Please go and check you knowledge.
You should not keep drafts for long time.
I was looking for something like PDF Unlock! I am not able to right click and Copy from some of my PDF documents. I hope this will help!
And thanks to you I can join various PDF documents into a single one now! So, no worries of misplacing any one.

Interesting. I bet that my Linux machine could do these things without these sites.

Linux machine – What? Dude we use softwares and OS. Anyways I am sure there will be some Open Source software to do the task like joining, protecting or unlocking PDF.
I wish you best of luck with your Linux Machine.
@austingulati My Windows machine does all these things w/o the sites, IF I install the necessary software. Same applies to your Linux machine. The point of providing software as a service is to NOT have to install software on your machine.
@myblogtoday Some PDF ebooks are DRM encrypted (for example the ones you must open in Adobe Digital Editions), in those cases PDFUnlock! will not help you. There’s a solution to that too however, if you’re interested, come talk to me on Twitter!
@Agent 001 Thanks a lot for posting this. One thing about PDFJoin! that would be worth mentioning is its Java Applet – if you have a recent Java install on your machine, you can use the Applet instead. It is much faster, as no files are uploaded, and it does not limit the number or size of files to merge (the only limit is the amount of memory you assign to the Java runtime).
PDF dude thanks for this useful comment. It is helpful. When I visited PDF Join, I did see option for Java Applet.
