Some of you might already know that I recently (45 days ago) bought a Seagate Free Agent Desk 1TB External Hard Drive. I wrote a small review (not really, as it was 861 words). I then bumped into a contest open only to residents of India asking what creative use I can think of for Seagate hard drives. I thought of participating in the contest as I was eligible. Also one of the commentators asked me how I am going to use 1TB of space. I was going to write the answer to the above questions as soon as possible but my Greatest Blog Contest Kept me busy. Now I am little free so I can go about answering these questions.
First of all I will answer to commentator’s question.
It’s going to be easy for me. Now most people use External Drive for Data Backup and so do I. I backup the whole drive of my laptop. It takes 100 GB of space. So I am left with 831 GB of space to utilise. Oops! Sorry I forgot to mention 1TB Hard Drive has 931GB space. I like to leave 150 GB (more than 15%)  free so that the hard disk performs well and there no lags. Thus I am left with 681GB only. That is pretty huge amount of space for personal use. I use nearly 400GB to store Movies, Songs and Anime Series etc. These are all the gifts of my Institute LAN. At last only 281 GB is left. Now it time to think of using it creatively.
Time to answer the contest question.
281GB for creative use, sorry I got it wrong its creative use of 281GB. So what is it, hmm! The reality is that it not creative but productive or so as to saymoney earning. I rent the space so that my friends can keep some of their data safe. I won’t say the charges here. I feel it’s a creative use of my External Hard Drive. This was the use of space. Now here is the most creative use of my external hard drive, night lamp. Night Lamp? Ya! I told in my review I love its light. I use it as night lamp when my room mate sleeps and I have to switch off the lights. As I am still working on my Laptop, this light brightens my keyboard a little more or at least lightens the area to help me see they keyboard more clearly.
Friends this as not all, I use the Packaging Box creatively as well. I put it on the desk and keep some of my stuffs above it so that it does not mix with other stuffs on the table. I use the protective covering more creatively than someone can imagine. I use it keep my pens, pencils, scissors, small stuffs and medicines in it. It makes my table tidy. I believe I use Seagate Products more creatively than anyone else. I use everything Seagate give me. I do not just through the packaging box out. I use it.
I own two Seagate Hard Disk. One is the Free Agent Desk 1TB and other is a 500GB Desktop Hard Disk. I have assembled the 500GB one into another External Drive. I mostly do not use it but I am thinking of putting some creative/productive use. Currently I use it for double back-up. Data is valuable. I cannot afford to loose the.

You can also use it to help back-up data from your friend’s PC if they wish to format their PC’s. I think 1TB is more than enough for this cause.
I am not talking for renting space! You can help them install new operating systems in case of some software problems.
