Today I am going to review an excellent Audio-Video Converter. It is so good at it’s work that I will never recommend any other Audio-Video Converter even if any one pays me 1000$ . Yes it is that good and guess what, it’s a freeware. Another reason I recommend it.
This Audio-Video Converter is called “SUPER ©â€. It is by eRightSoft. SUPER © means Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer. As far as I know it is not well known software but as I have been using this utility for more than 2 years, I know how good it is at its work and not to forget it’s a freeware. I guess many do not know about this utility because it’s free. Ya, you rarely hear of any one asking or searching for freeware in category of Audio-Video Converters. I may be wrong with this reason though. Another reason which looks true is their site was not good looking until now. Now they have done some designing work with their website. If they wouldn’t have done so, no one would believe that this so beautiful (see screenshot below), useful and powerful software was hosted on such a bad looking website. I used to call it as diamond from a coal mine. Opps! These are no necessary thing to know.
I had lots of praises for this software. Well you do not need to believe me until you know of its feature. First of all this utility is targeted to professionals (I feel so) which means it can convert any well know format of audio and video to other well known format. The setup file is 25.5 MB as it supports as many formats you have ever known. Do you really want me to list the formats it support? I warn you it’s a long list.

jpg, pgm, png, ppm (with sequentially numbered-ONLY filenames) having the same filename numbered-ONLY format. Example: 0001.jpg –up to–> 0999.jpg.

Now let me know if you do not find any well known format it is not supporting. I bet you can’t. I told you it is the best.
Let me summarize you some features and other facts in point wise manner.
- SUPER © “The Encoder” is the fastest and simplest tool to encode full length movies to any other format without any time or function limitation.
- SUPER © “The Player” surpasses any known player by supporting just any Multimedia file format.
- SUPER © plays files that cannot be played with WMP or even MPC and VLC the advanced Libavcodec based players. Yes it’s true.
- SUPER © also plays and saves Internet Media Streams of different protocols (mms:// rtsp:// http://). Now streaming is no problem at all.
- SUPER © does NOT require any additional external codec to be installed, absolutely nothing. Necessary codec are built in.
- SUPER © does for FREE what other encoders CAN’T do for money. NO trial or evaluation version of SUPER © but one unique Free to download and Free to use fully working version.

4. You will reach http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html . Scroll Down to Bottom until you see a link Download SUPER © setup file. Click it and Download starts.

maybe i can combine this software with my sound forge..because sometimes my sound forge cannot convert some type of sound file. Thanks for the info

Have tried to download the Super converter 3 times and each time I get the following message “0011/E6/movawin.spk. There was a problem installing this file. the installation will be cancelled”.
Have looked on their website but they do not offer e-mail support so I wondered if you could help please?

does Super utilize the extra cores on a multi core system? Will a core 2 quad get roughly double the encoding rate than that of a core 2 duo?
I do not know about that. Never even worried about it. I advise you to contact the software provider @ http://www.erightsoft.com/contact.html .Hope they can answer you properly.
It’s OK for the non demanding user. The last generation encoders used have been eclipsed by the vastly superior HCenc. The output is adequate at best and with no multi-core support why bother. Not the choice for serious video work.

I too have the same problem. Have downloaded various amounts of times. The meessage appears as I am installing, I have installed this previously with no problems, so I am wondering if the latest package has a bug… Any ideas?
You need to follow the download instructions given by them. I am currently using a older version. So no Ideas.
I have trouble installing SuperC, it need: DirectSplitter.ax, flvDX.dll, MatroskaDX.ax and RealMedia.ax, how could I solve it

I love SUPER and have used it for many years and I am very thankfull that there is free software like this still around. Maybe I can offer some additional tips.
1. As I recall, you will have better results using IE to download the program from the webpage.
2. Follow Deepak’s instructions to the letter and dont press the [back] button. You can not use download managers, you must download from IE directly.
3. Installation used to warn you to have a screen resolution of 1024×768 or higher, this is a must and it will NOT work with 800×600.
This program is quite complex and i would recommend reading All of the instructions you can find about SUPER.
You can save your settings to SUPER Profiles and I hope someday to see a site or a board where users can share those profile settings. Lastly, every so often I get a clip that i can’t play with any of the many players i have, but Super can still play them. ? hmm . If you dont want to open super just to play these clips, here is a shortcut you can use.
In your user profile’s SEND TO folder,
example
G:\Docs and settings\USER\send to,right click, and create a shortcut to the Mplayer program in the Super Program files folder.
Make sure to use Quotes.
example
"G:\Program Files\eRightSoft\SUPER\mencoder\mplayer.exe"name it player, then save it.
Now when you find a file you cant play with any other player, just right click on the un-playable file and SEND TO player. It’s magic

Was wondering, will Super convert from avi, etc. to vob? Which can be played on the home entertainment center…
There are hundreds of programs that will convert a DVD to everything else, but is there a freeware program out there that works the other way around?

Yes SUPER can do it. It can convert any format to VCD, SVCD and DVD. Try SUPER and share your experience.
I’m sorry, but I can’t agree with much of this hagiography for this converter. I tried it out extensively a couple of years ago (I had all the minimum requirements it asked for) and found it to be clunky and slow, buggy and hugely greedy of system resources. On may occasions, the software simply gave up on converting stating that it couldn’t complete. And these were pretty ordinary conversions, nothing fancy. I eventually gave up on it, even though I’d given it a fair try – I downloaded it several times and tried out the updated versions, but still no joy. I have a friend who does a lot of video conversions too and he doesn’t rate this highly. It is NOT the choice for serious professionals! I don’t know how you can say such a ridiculous thing. It’s a tool for people who can’t find anything better – although there are plenty of other free alternatives on the web. And there are paid-for softwares that will do much more than this recommendation.
For many jobs, I’d recommend “Any Video Converter”, which is free and has all the options that any normal person would want, along with a nice easy, intuitive GUI. And there are many more programmes out there that will do what you want, without downloading this horror.
The developers of “Super” even make it hard to download it so that you have to wade through pages of ads for other products and suchlike before you even have a chance to press a DL link, not a good indication for a start. And the interface is dreadful. It needs real concentration to be able to work out what to do.
This “Super” software suffers from the “more must mean better” syndrome. They’ve crammed it with so much stuff that most people will never use or even know what it means at the expense of making a good intuitive programme that fulfils most people’s needs. And the programme is OLD. It is depending on old-fashioned processes and codes to do its work. It has been superseded by other more modern – and much faster – converters, many of which are free.
And just a word on the author of the recommendation. You cannot answer virtually a single question put to you by people trying to download or use the software you have set yourself up as an expert on! Nearly all of you responses are “Oh. I wasn’t aware of that” or “I didn’t know you had to do this”. You wax lyrical over a software that you actually appear to know very little about. How many of the more obscure functions that this “Super” software is cluttered up with have you really needed to use in any case? You personally? I bet you haven’t needed even a tenth of them!
This is MY recommendation. Normal users, who simply want to convert into and out of the more usual formats can download one or two of any number of free converters from the web. I mentioned “Any Video Converter”; that would be a start, even though it’s not particularly modern. But there are others more modern that that one even, and faster at their work. And professionals, well, the very meaning of the term means that they will be using professional converters! They will have paid for and downloaded a converter that is adequate to their needs and matches or exceeds their expectations!
In the meantime, people, become a member of the GiveAway Of The Day website, receive their email notifications and eventually, there will be an offer of a free professional converter that does all you’ll need – except it’ll be modern, fast, user-friendly and efficient. Good luck! But you’ll only have it if you don’t use this clunky thing.

PS sorry,4got…I use FireFox browser, fast, aggressive,grabs anything away from U on clipboard 4 dnld; IE8 2 slow but faithful in a pinc when FF becomes unstable & jerky; DAP might hang because of FF speed 2 grab, but nothing phases Orbit. FF annoyance is that it doesn’t always obey its DAP integration but steeals the dnld & put it in an undesired folder location against option…these all pplay a good role when needed,it just depends kinda’ sorta’ hop not 2 off topic…forgive.
