The Very Best AntiVirus: Avast!

Avast Antvirus Software ReviewThe word VIRUS made horror run through my nerves. I used to get Goosebumps hearing it. I felt losing something. It was not just my feeling but I really was losing something. This something was my precious data, money and time. It felt as if I was being attacked and one of my body parts was taken away. I don’t know about you but these were my feeling when my PC/Laptop used to get infected by Virus, Adwares, Spywares, Trojans and Worms. But now these feelings are distant. The feelings used to hunt me until 2 years back I got the best prevention for my PC/Laptop.

This prevention is very perfect and has been effective 24X7. It is the best Antivirus software I have come across. No other antivirus has been able to satisfy me. I am taking about my favorite antivirus software AVAST! Well I believe all of you have some sort of antivirus software. They may be good and you love it as much as I love mine.

So what is it about Avast that I want to brag about it?
Well it is really a tricky and difficult question to answer. It is just that I love it. I love its looks and I love the sound/voice when it warns me about virus. When ever it detects any Virus, Adwares, Spywares, Trojans and Worms it warns saying “Caution Virus has been detected”. It is really a lovely voice. Though I do not want to hear it more often but still it sounds so good and real. It gives me a feeling of another human being warning me. Its look is that of a media player. Most of my friends who have looked at it thought it was some new media player. You can have a look at it in the picture below.

Oh! It seems I am flooded in my own emotions. This is supposed to be a review. But it is really hard to review antivirus software. You cannot know of its benefits until you use it. But I can tell you of some of good points of Avast! Antivirus.

  1. First and foremost it is free for personal/home use (no restrictions).
  2. It’s a 360 degree protection. Internet Security Included.
  3. It has got On-Access protection. It scans everything which you try to access. Example: If you are opening a folder. It will scan it as you open it.
  4. No CPU Loads. Not much RAM consumed.
  5. It has got Internet Mail Protection, Internet Messaging Protection, Outlook/Exchange Protection, Network Shield, P2P Shield, Standard Shield and Web Shield.
  6. The virus database is updated automatically. Updates are available more than 2 times a day.
  7. There is a feature called VRDB (Virus Recovery Database). It generate VRDB so that if by mistake some file got infected (the chances are near to zero) you can repair it easily. VRDB can be generated both manually and automatically.
  8. Scanning is very fast. There is also option of Boot Scanning. It means the next time you start your PC it will scan your PC just after Booting. It is recommended to do Boot Scanning once.
  9. The setup file is just 29 MB .Some you are thinking is it a feature. Yes it is. Most Other softwares are so heavy and there setup file is so large yet they provide very less feature.
  10. So far no Virus, Adwares, Spywares, Trojans and Worms have been able to invade my PC/Laptop. I always remain connected to internet and use LAN. Share files through LAN. I have seen others PC get infected in front of me using other antivirus softwares.

Ok I feel 10 points are enough. Now it’s up to you. If you are not satisfied with your current antivirus program you should try Avast! Well all of you can try it once. I would also like to hear your reviews about it. If any of you use it please share your experience with us. If you use some other antivirus and think it can beat Avast then tell us about it. Visit Avast now.

One of the main advantages of Avast is that its free version is very useful rather than other free version Antivirus programs. There has been a case with me where a virus was not detected by AVG free version but the same virus got detected when i installed the free version of Avast. I love Avast!

Happy to say I’ve been using Avast for few months now. Even though I dont like the sounds it makes(I have disabled sounds) I love it because it’s very user friendly and Fast responding not like Norton etc.

And it updates frequently :)

@Hugo Santos, I visited the website of Avira Antivirus. It looks good and feature full just like Avast. It has even firewall. That’s a plus point. Avast has its different Shields.
Well thanks for info.

@BLOGBOOZE, Avast is really the best. I too don’t like Norton. It is too slow.
