Time Management – How often have you heard this word? I guess quite often. Sometime from your parents, teacher, seniors, partners or even friends.
How much seriously did you take it? Wait, I know the answer. You just thought it was just some stupid advice. Many will say that they took it seriously. Well I doubt that because no one takes it seriously. But I can say with confidence that after reading this article you will take it seriously from today onwards. You will learn today how important is it. What happens if you do not do time management. What profits can you get after doing time management. And how to do it.
First let us see how does Wikipedia define Time Management.
Time management refers to a range of skills, tools, and techniques used to manage time when accomplishing specific tasks, projects and goals. This set encompass a wide scope of activities, and these include planning, allocating, setting goals, delegation, analysis of time spent, monitoring, organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing.
From the above definition you can conclude that Time Management is much more than what we think of. So lets see how important is Time Management. To make you understand well, I am giving a real incidence of my life. I am a college student and a part time blogger. Now being a student it is very difficult to do studies, sports and of course blogging. Few days ago, I got my lesson for not managing my time well. I delayed my assignments and lab work until the deadlines and due to this I had to work overnight with very less sleep for two consecutive nights. It was a real hard time for me. If I had made the planning from before hand and managed my time well I would have not suffered. I am sure you may have had such experiences too and can now understand the virtue of time management.
Now time management works everywhere. Be it your school, work, business etc. Time management is very important for Internet Marketing. People who have tried Internet Marketing know it well enough. If you loose your time you loose your customer. You get slapped by smart competitors. If you do not plan things from before hand and prepare yourself a time table your works get delayed and will result in heavy loss. For us bloggers time is very important as not only we have to write posts but reply to comments, promote our blog, do social networking, market our blog and reply to mails from fellow bloggers and advertisers.
Thus we can see time management is very very important for everyone at every stage of life. So question arises “How to do Time Management“.I have some tips which will help you in learning time management.
- Do not just say it but Do it. Only fools speak of time management. Be smart and do it. Remember your time is precious.
- Make a rough time table of your daily activities. Try to write down every details possible like after lunch you get 15-20 minutes free time etc.

- Schedule your work and activities. You need to keep your time table arranged. You take lunch at 1 PM, then try to do so everyday.
- Keep some time for fun. This may sound unnecessary to some of you but it is required. If you jam pack your time table you will get bored and time management will suffer. You will start wasting more time than before.
- Have plans for near future. Plan your tomorrow before you go to bed so that you can complete all your work in time. If you know how your next week is going to be than you can plan for next seven days too.
- Keep some extra time. This one is different from Fun time. Some time some urgent works come out, so you may have to delay your current work. In this case extra time will come handy. You can reschedule your work.
- Remember Time Management is continuous process. You cannot make a perfect time table for you. It will change with incoming situations. Try to adapt to the situation and do effective time management.
I hope these 7 tips and techniques will help you out in managing your precious time. So be smart and do some TIME MANAGEMENT from today onwards. I do the same mistake as most people do, I plan about doing many things but end up doing only some of them. Getting bored and my lazy attitude are some reasons for it.

Yes, it’s very important to consciously work out how much time you are going to give to different tasks, particularly if you are doing lots of different things.
And sometimes you’ve just got to learn to drop something completely. That frees up more time and gives you breathing space.
I had this experience lately. I had a website that I’d been working on and building up traffic for for ages. But the results weren’t worth it for all the work. So I finally cancelled it. It was a huge load off my mind, and allowed me to focus on other things.

Yeah. Definitely. I reviewed my timetable every 2 weeks to see if it’s still suitable with my current workloads and other tasks.
