Ah! Tweet Twitter Tweet, seams a whole lot poetic, isn’t it? I was thinking I am going to focus on this post a lot on Twitter(really it only on twitter and about twitter), so what title would attract more attention. First I thought, how about “Way to go with Twitter”. That would have been a good title if I was going to give some tips. Than, what title to use for this post. I wanted to think for long. But suddenly my heart called out tweet. Then my mind spoke Twitter. Bravo! I got the idea, we tweet on twitter and now I am tweeting about twitter. So come Tweet Twitter Tweet.

Well that was a hell of a small a story. Let’s now make it history and proceed forward. Now this story starts at ………… Holy Crap! Not another. Ok. So basically I am here to discuss on Twitter. I have been using it from Jun 17 (that’s what my twitter counter tells). I really hesitated joining it. But once I knew about its usefulness I joined it at once. My twitter life was going well with followers increasing and traffics coming to my blog through it. But it didn’t go too well for long. My blog was closed down for 4 months (well it was my mistake; I could not pay for the hosting; now I cannot go on asking all my visitors for donation). So I was not twittering or tweeting at all. Some followers left me. And now the situation is not good at all with very less followers (79 I think) and I am not getting any traffic from twitter.

Now when I started blogging again on this January, I heard lot about twitter once again and decided this time I will go a long way with twitter and properly use it. So far I have been pushing my schedules, but it’s the end now. I am determined to Tweet Twitter Tweet. I searched some plug-in for Twitter and found some nice one. Now my every post has a big “tweet this” button so you all can tweet my blog pots easily and it also shortens the blog URL. I already had that feature in my blog but it was less visible. I even made a stylish (not so good looking though) twitter counter. You can see a glimpse of it just below the header and just above the RSS Icon. If you are thinking it is just a picture, than let me tell you all clearly, it is a dynamic counter and not just picture. It uses TwitterCounter.com codes and gets updated automatically. I used lot of time making it (though the idea is not original, I just took it from someone, the idea not the counter – I made it).

Well now doing just this much is not enough to my Tweet Twitter Tweet mission. I then luckily (it was intentional) visited ProBlogger’s Twitter profile. I saw a very very nice custom designed Twitter background. Now he got it for free from Twitter Image Dot Com (The data is not cross checked, but true to best of my knowledge). Now Twitter Image would give you a free background if you have 5000 followers(that’s pretty hard to get) or you can pay USD 75$. Now I can’t pay that much money. So I decided to design my own background. Why to pay when you can make yourself. I custom designed my Blog Header myself (except for the avatar, avatar came for free as well). Ok I designed it, though it is not good as those of the designers, looks a little creepy, too much of black in the background but it’s my own creation. I would have had a screenshot of it here but better you look it with your own eyes. I would like to have your views on it. Give you advices and ideas to improve it. Now I also knew I cannot properly do Tweet Twitter Tweet alone without any tips or help. So once again luck favoured me and I came to know about ProBlogger’s Twitter Blog fully focused on Twitter and helping other to Tweet well. There are posts by many top notch twitter guys. You get a vast amount of knowledge and tips. Oh! I forgot to mention the name of the blog, it’s TwiTip. This is really a very good blog. Now I discovered one more good service (through TwiTip). It’s called twtpoll. You can make polls specially customised for Twitter here and people can reply using there twitter username. I have created my first poll using it. Look below. Do Vote and tell others.

Shit! I forgot to mention that I got a good Twitter Plug-in, which convert any @ username to a twitter link. For example if I write @bloggeragent001 , it will link to my twitter profile. You might have just seen good use of it just above some paragraphs. Isn’t it nice and useful?

Well so time for some tips (if you heard me say, I won’t be giving tips, than I was telling a lie)

• If you are blogger, get some twitter plug-in and put a tweet button on blog.
• Be nice to you visitors when asking to follow you on twitter.
• Place a Twitter Counter on Blog. (Optional)
• Make custom twitter background for your twitter profile or at least use something different.
• Take tips from TwiTip. I advice to follow this blog.

Ok so that’s all. I am currently searching for good people to follow on twitter. So if you think I should follow you (If I am not already) than give me you twitter usernames and a reason to follow you. You may recommend other persons as well. Also do participate in today’s poll.
