A new version/upgrade of WordPress has been released. This release hardens the security of your WordPress blog. This is a recommended update. I have already upgraded to this newer version and you should do it soon too.
The headline changes in this release are:
- A fix for the Trackback Denial-of-Service attack that is currently being seen.
- Removal of areas within the code where php code in variables was evaluated.
- Switched the file upload functionality to be white listed for all users including Admins.
- Retiring of the two importers of Tag data from old plugins.

thanks for the update buddy , yes upgrade blog to latest version for security reason also.

I am waiting for your review on 2.9. It’s better to read others review when you don’t have the time to test it. Anyway I upgraded my blog already.
I am currently very bust too. So I am not yet into testing 2.9.
